3 Signs of a possible future baker act (hospitalized against your will).

I was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in 2003. I began hallucinating, seeing visions, and having delusions. It took me a long time to recognized my warning signs because I did not believe I was schizophrenic.

My sister took pictures of me while I was sick and when I came to my right mind and looked at those pictures, I knew I was sick.

It took every bit of courage I had to visit a doctors office. The pharmacist said I was beautiful. He said you are just mentally exhausted.

After this experience, I began taking my medication. I went 13 years taking my medication until I decided maybe I don't need it anymore. I did not consult with a psychiatrist.

Remember if you or a family member develops a disorder, please seek professional help and listen. There's nothing wrong with a second opinion, just get help.

Just recently in 2018 I was baker acted again after the sheriff took my child, more on this in my best selling book, "Let's Be Inspired: Undefeated Despite Schizophrenia."

My warning signs of a future baker act then became apparent.

ONE: Anger

I notice that the first time I ever got baker acted I all of a sudden became increasingly anger right before being hospitalized. Not your average argument but anger at a 10. Several times doctors have diagnosed me with schizophrenia and bipolar. So it was an anger you see with Bipolar diagnosis. I never hurt anyone but my speech was abusive.

TWO: Crying too much

Right before being baker acted, I would cry way too much. I would be so emotional. Before being sick I would hardly cry. Maybe once or twice a year but with sickness, it would happen almost every day. Years later I found one thing that would trigger this emotion is watching certain television shows or listening to certain music. We have to watch our eye gate. Somethings we tune into changes our moods, changes our attitudes. This I didn't learn till 14 years after being hospitalized.

THREE: Depression

Depression would hit every time right before a hospitalization. I remember right before my first hospitalization, I became so depressed that I didn't want to go anywhere. I began taking vitamins and my depression went away. (I wouldn't suggest any vitamins because I don't know of the side affects).
Because I took vitamins I forgot that I ever experienced depression and never told my doctors.

For every person experiencing a mental illness, you will experience different warning signs. Research warning signs online for various disorders. If you see yourself experiencing the same signs, reach out to professionals as soon as possible.
